Broderick Green will be announcing his college choice LOI (Letter of Intent) Day, which is Wednesday, February 6th, at 12:25 P.M. Central Time. Broderick will decide between Penn State, Ohio State and USC. We will know the decision in less than 24 hours.

Broderick Green is to meet with his coach and family Monday evening to go over everything one last time before coming to a decision. That decision may be before signing day, but most likely will be next Wednesday, National Letter of Intent Day (LOI). Before that day (today actually), Penn State assistant coaches, Brian Norwood and Larry Johnson, Sr., will be visiting Broderick at his home. It is not expected that Joe Paterno will make the visit as many PSU fans hoped due to his leg injury.

Malcolm Smith has been off PSU's radar for some time now, but I thought I would post that he has verballed to USC. USC was the place to beat from the beginning and this is hardly a shocker.

It appears it is a possibility that PSU will add more depth to the defensive line with a transfer. Walker Ashley committed to USC 2 years ago over PSU and several others. Walker is now looking for a new home. He was headed to Minnesota before the firing of Glen Mason and now he is apparently looking hard at Penn State. No matter where Walker ends up enrolling, he will have 4 years to play his 3 years of eligibility. Walker is to visit Happy Valley next weekend or the following. Walker was a 4 star recruit ranked by scout.com in 2004.

This is going to be one of the most important "out of season" recruiting weekends for PSU. Broderick Green has set a date to visit Happy Valley and it is this weekend. Green is still solid to USC, however it is said he is coming in with an open mind. Broderick will visit Ohio State the following weekend.

USC's Pete Carroll was interviewed by the Miami Dolphins today in Costa Rica which on vacation. The dolphins already said that money was not a problem and I am sure it would take a lot to pull Carroll from USC. If there was any chance of him leaving it could get interesting with recruits specifically with Broderick Green.
