New QB at PSU

With Penn State really having 2 QB's promised this coming year on the roster, Penn State has went and offered preferred walk-on status to West Scranton QB, Matt McGloin. McGloin's stats at West Scranton are solid with 5,485 yards and 58 TDs. It will be a huge challenge for Matt to see playing time, but someone with those stats on the roster as a walk on can never hurt.

Shaw Mess

Now it is been reported that RB, Shaw, has NOT sent in a LOI to Michigan yet. He is set to announce at 1PM today. However, it is still expected that he will choose Michigan as 3 of his other teammates are now heading to Michigan as well (1 de-committed from Purdue today).

National LOI Day

***Edit: Adding names below as they come in***

Well, it has been a while since a recruit changed his verbal from Penn State to another school. Actually, Penn State has made out the past several years with people changing to them (Devlin, Bani G., etc.). So it was bound to come back at some point and this year it did.

Running Back Michael Shaw has made the jump to Michigan. He was a 4 star RB on scout.com and expected to be the fastest player in this recruiting class. Now we will see him on the other side of the ball the next 4/5 years.

Onto good news. D'Anton Lynn's LOI has been received. He will be a Nittany Lion. Lynn is a 4 star safety on scout.com.

Terrell Pryor has decided to postpone his announcement. Rivals's reporter, Mike Farrell, reported that it is down to OSU, Michigan, Oregon and Penn State for his services. Nothing new there. The big point is that he has delayed his announcement to make an official visit to Penn State. Terrelle's father likes the way that Penn State coaches have recruited his son. He also now may visit Oregon as well. I wouldn't look for that to happen as I truly don't see him going away that far to a school seeing how important family is to him.

The recruits that now are official Nittany Lions includes:
- A.J. Price (WR)
- Matt Stankiewitch (OL)
- Mike Yancich (LB)
- James Terry (DL)
- Michael Zordich (LB)
- Jack Crawford (DL/TE)
- D'Anton Lynn
- Mark Wedderburn
- Deon'tae Pannell
There are also two players in this recruiting class already enrolled for classes and currently are on campus.
- Michael Mauti
- Brandon Beachum

To the Combine

Three Penn State football players have been invited to the NFL combine. Dan Conner, Justin King and Anthony Morelli. Morelli has a lot to prove after his very poor showing in the senior bowl.

It will be interesting to see who actually attends as most haven't over the past few years.
