Pryor Makes Visit

It has been reported by the Post Gazette and confirmed by Scout.com that USA Today's #1 ranked junior football player (for last years ending) visited Penn State on Wednesday. Pryor committed to Pitt to play basketball during his Sophomore year, but shortly changed his mind when he became a star at Quarterback on his football team. It is looking more like a PSU vs. Ohio State battle since Pryor has mentioned he does not want to wonder too far from home. I would not count out Pitt just yet, but I think they need to have a statement year in football this year to even have a chance.

Practice Begins

Practice began last week and already there are some position moves that stick out.

Jared Odrick played defensive end last year, but has made the move inside to tackle.

Dan Conner has moved inside as well as inside backer from last years position at outside linebacker.

Tony Davis has moved inside as well to replace Donnie Johnson (graduation) at safety and make room for A.J. Wallace to start at cornerback.

Logan-El is still not with the team and it is in his hands whether he has the dedication needed to be a football player at the next level. Logan-El is not expected to practice at all this entire spring.

Number Changes:
- Mark Rubin from 80 to 9
- Rodney Kinlaw from 8 to 20

2nd Year - Claxton All-Big Ten

Despite PSU's terrible year on the court, Gary Claxton has been named to the All-Big Ten team for the second straight year. Gary is a junior and has one more year of eligibility.

The PSU team has 2 highly recruited high schoolers coming in next year that many hope will turn this program around. With Claxton being a senior next year and Cornley having 2 more years, hopefully this season will be the last like it for a while.
