New OL Prospect
Muldrow was last weeks new offer and now this week we see Quinn Barham. These are two sort of unexpected offers that many people did not see happening. While both of them could be great players now and end up being great players at the next level, it has people worried about our initial offerings to OL prospects as to who the staff is getting a good feel.

I'm Back
The news today will be a little old as I try to get back up to date on things since I was in London for vacation the past 7 days.
First of all, Stephon Green kept to his word as he committed to PSU early this week.

Commit #9?
It appears that PSU has picked up their 9th commitment of the year, however it is not yet official. The coaching staff is on one time of the year vacation, so Stephfon Green, RB/CB from JFK High School in the Bronx, has to wait until Monday to make it official. Green has flown under the radar as he is just making it to the national level as far as recruiting coverage. Only Syracuse and Temple have looked at him so far.
Last year Stephfon ran for over 1000 yards and 13 touchdowns as well as two kickoff returns for TDs. PSU offered him after he attended camp and ran a 4.29 40 time.
More to come with this story I am sure...

Walton Update
There have been rumors for some time about J.B. Walton not enrolling at PSU this summer session with the rest of the incoming freshmen. Apparently there is a transfer problem with one of his courses that has kept him from being allowed to accept a Division 1 Scholarship. There is a slight chance that it will be cleared before the fall semester, however it is more likely he will not enroll until 2007.

Family Following?
Maurice is a 4 star QB/DB prospect by scout.com. PSU is recruiting him for WR. Maurice is not new to Penn State as he has a sister that plays on the Lady Lion basketball team. Maurice mentioned that he would like to make a decision to make it easy on his mother. Him and his mother are very close and with his sister already being at PSU, it would make it easy on her to see both her children.
PSU is high on Maurice and it appears that Maurice is high on the lions, however it is not yet a done deal. Maurice is to visit Happy Valley, but has also said he will take an official visit to Georgia as well as potential others. As far as a timeline, he says it could be before or after the season. He is still unsure and does not want to rush the decision.

Backfield Shuffle
If the questions around tailback are not enough, now there are problems at fullback. Rumors have been floating about BranDon Snow being on Joe's bad side. Well, apparently they are true. Matt Hahn appears to be in the starting fullback position at this time.

Latimore to Grayshirt
Eric Latimore, the DE commit from last years recruiting class will grayshirt this coming PSU season. Eric is still recovering from surgery he had on both of his shoulders. The grayshirt period will give further time for Eric to get to 100%.

Broderick Green
Not much of an update. He was at Oklahoma State this past week and said he liked his visit. He has not narrowed his list but says that "Arkansas, Penn State, USC, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Georgia Tech" are his top 6. He plans on taking all 5 of his official visits despite being a verbal commitment to USC.
