Back in the Area

Well I have taken some time off lately as you can see by my last posting. I have good reason however seeing that I was in Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest. If you ever have the ability to go, you will not be disappointed. From learning the subway, to eating the great food and to not forget all the great German beer (with Augustina being my favorite).

So on to a couple of things that have happened that stand out to me during and upon my return.

XM Radio hits 5 million subscribers. Moving right along. If you do not have satellite radio, you have no idea what you are missing. If you know how addictive a Tivo unit is, you need satellite radio.

If there was one thing that I hated the most about going over to Germany, it was the fact that I would not be able to see the Penn State vs. Northwestern game. When I logged into the internet the next day to see the score, I almost hit my head on the hotel room ceiling. Close, but a very important win.

When I saw the score of the South Florida vs. Lousiville score, I could not believe it. Check out the PSU opponents and their records so far to date:

Google Secure Access

The rumors are proven correct again about the latest Google project. FREE WIRELESS ACCESS. The catch. It is only offered in the San Francisco Bay area, for now.

Grass Overhaul

The first couple games that there are people out on the field at every break in the action to fix the field. Well, suposidly I was not going crazy. They are totally re-sodding the field for the Minnesota game in a week and a half. Pictures by following the below link.

Season Over

The 2005 drag racing season is over at the Beav. I finished 2nd place overall for Street eliminator which is the best placing yet in my 4th year in this class. I hope to have my 94 Camaro done for next year and move up to Modified eliminator. I will post some pictures of progress w/ the new car once some progress is made.

Bowman Likes What He Saw

PSU and its fans suposedly did a great job this weekend showing Navorrow Bowman (4* LB) that PSU has a great atmosphere. Bowman stated that he and DWill were friends before the visit (both MD natives). Williams showed Bowman around the campus.

Direct quote:

“With all the game-day stuff, it wasn’t what I was expecting,” he said. “That blew me away.”

I just hope that an early visit does not leave his mind seeing that he has other visits set for as late as November (VTech).

Rolle's Decision

Well, I guess it was a good ride that just did not take us where we wanted to go. Myron chooses Florida State over PSU and 4 others. Very unexpected as most writers had him going to Florida or PSU.

Go LIONS. Take out S. Florida this weekend!!!
