Mason Contacts Paterno

It was released this past weekend that Glen Mason, Minnesota's Head Coach, was released by the University. In a story posted today by the Centre Daily Times, Glen made contact with Joe Paterno, through Jay Paterno, to advise him of the departure prior to the announcement. Now this could mean several things.

1. They are good friends, so it is not hard to believe it was just a friendly notice trying to be the first to let Joe know.
2. Glen is trying to drop a hint to Joe that he is job searching.
